The REACH Project aims to offer expert education and empowering care for the aging population in Florida and the nation through a variety of products developed for healthcare professionals and student trainees, family caregivers of older adults, and older adults themselves. It is funded by the Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program and powered by the Department of Geriatrics at the Florida State University College of Medicine. In collaboration with other departments at FSU, as well as community partners, The Geriatric Care Enhancement Project develops a wide range of resources intended to be
freely used and shared across the spectrum of elder care professions and partners.

About Us

Here at our website, you can find information for seniors, health care providers, family caregivers, or health trainees related to the care of older adults. Florida has a larger percentage of older residents than any other state. The growing older adult population must have healthcare workers and a healthcare system that meets their unique care needs.

The NCF-GWEP at Florida State University incorporates an interdisciplinary approach. Participating trainees include: social work, nursing, medicine, and pharmacy students, Federally Qualified Health Center providers and staff, internal and family medicine residents, family caregivers, senior residence nurses and certified nursing assistants, and older adult patients.

The delivery of this program is funded through the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration. The NCF-GWEP, anchored by the Department of Geriatrics at the FSU College of Medicine, is a collaborative partnership among FSU, community-based primary care, and community-based education organizations.

Incorporating an interdisciplinary approach, our six current projects cover social work, nursing, and medicine.
