Big Bend Hospice

For over 40 years, Big Bend Hospice, a nonprofit provider of compassionate end-of-life care, has been serving families in the Big Bend region of North Florida. Committed to comprehensive care for patients and families, Big Bend Hospice is part of the Seven Oaks Health network. It proudly offers the region’s only owned and operated inpatient hospice units, including the Margaret Z. Dozier House and the First Commerce Center for Compassionate Care (FCCCC) at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.

The Center for Applied Research in Dementia develops, innovates, and applies its Montessori Dementia methodology with a specialized team of diverse scientific professionals.

The Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health program offers PharmD, B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees.

Florida Department of Elder Affairs

The Florida Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) administers human service programs to Florida’s older adults, including individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and their care partners. DOEA oversees a network of 17 Memory Disorder Clinics (MDC) and administers the Dementia Care and Cure Initiative (DCCI) – a statewide regional task force that reinforces community trainings and inclusivity initiatives.

Florida Department of Health

The Florida Department of Health (DOH) administers programs that regulate health practitioners and delivery of public health services across Florida’s 67 county health departments. Project READY educates healthcare practitioners regarding specified information related to dementia education and disseminates public awareness education.

Florida Department of Transportation: Safe Mobility for Life Coalition

Since 2009, the Florida Department of Transportation through the Safe Mobility for Life Coalition has partnered with the FSU Pepper Institute on Aging and Public Policy to address the specific needs of Florida’s aging road users. The Coalition takes positive and innovative approaches to strike a balance between safety and mobility and help Floridians maintain mobility independence and remain active in their community.

Florida Health Science Consulting

Florida Health Science Consulting provides educational support and clinical training by providing preparatory courses, workshops, and training sessions to enhance professional development of the community. They offer medical and nursing assistant training.

Isabel Collier Read Medical Campus, Immokalee

At the FSU College of Medicine’s Isabel Collier Read Medical Campus, the 1-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology develops fellows who will act as an integrated member of a primary care team and who gain experience in assessment and intervention approaches. The Fellows train with medical students at two clinical sites: the Healthcare Network in Immokalee (a federally qualified health center) and the Lee Health System in Fort Myers.

PanCare of Florida

PanCare of Florida consists is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in 9 counties throughout North Florida. PanCare has 12 medical clinics and 8 dental clinics. They provide a comprehensive system of quality healthcare services that is easily accessed by all persons and families through a community-based network.
