Trainings and Interactive Modules

Nursing Assessment Training

Developed by the FSU NCF-GWEP, this Nursing Assessment training covers clinical assessments in eight different domains of geriatric care.

Communicating with Older Adult Patients

This interactive training module on Communicating with Older Adult Patients teaches clinical staff ways to adjust protocol and practices in the clinical setting to help geriatric patients who may have vision or hearing problems, have a caregiver present, or need simplified instructions.

Influenza for CNAs and Other Staff

Based on a feedback from nurses through a needs assessment, the NCF-GWEP created an interactive, online module on Influenza for CNAs and Other Staff. This training discusses strategies for clinical staff to prevent getting the flu themselves as well as spreading it to others in the context of post-acute and long-term care

Pain Assessment and Management for the RN/LPN

The interactive Pain Assessment and Management for the RN/LPN online module was developed by the NCF-GWEP to help nurses understand pain management and their role in it. Continuing education credits for RN and LPN licenses are available.
